Enrolment

Canning Vale Primary School is a Local Intake School. This means that enrolment is not automatic to students outside of the intake area. However, all applications for enrolment will be considered by the Principal.

KINDERGARTEN

Application for Enrolment Form

Applications for Kindergarten in 2026 are now open for children born between 1st July 2021 and 30th June 2022. An Application for Enrolment (Link above to editable PDF) should be completed and submitted with a copy of the following:

child’s birth certificate,
immunisation certificate – must be no more than 2 months old and the status must show up to date
proof of address – this can be a current electricity/gas/water/rates bill or rental agreement

Students born overseas should also present a passport, visa and citizenship documentation.

Applications for Kindergarten close on Friday, 25th July 2025. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

You can complete this online and email the completed application form, along with a copy of the child’s birth certificate, immunisation certificate and proof of address to canningvale.ps@education.wa.edu.au

PRE-PRIMARY – YEAR 6

	Midday Session	11.40 – 1.40
	Recess	1.40 – 2.00
	Afternoon Session	2.00 – 3.00 *
		* 2.30 on Wednesdays

If children are not collected at the usual time and place, they are to come to the school office. If you are going to be late to pick up your child, please, if possible, contact the office and be aware that your child/children will be waiting for you at the office.
Where staff are aware that students are not collected by 3.30pm (close of office hours) and they have been unable to contact you or other emergency contacts, they may begin to contact appropriate agencies to look after the children.

Here are just a few reasons Canning Vale Primary School students and students all over the world wear a uniform.

Uniforms give students a sense of belonging and enhance pride in their school. Wearing a uniform shows unity and identity. In much the same way football followers will wear their team’s jersey or scarf, a uniform builds a sense of community.
Uniforms help students prepare for the workforce. Whether it’s wearing safety gear in a construction job or corporate wear in an office, most jobs require a standard of dress.
Uniforms actually cost less than a normal wardrobe. It may seem that some individual uniform items are expensive but when compared to having a whole wardrobe of different outfits, the overall price is much smaller.
Uniforms reduce peer pressure and bullying. Our students come from a wide range of family situations. Some are wealthy and others struggle. Students cannot be judged by their appearance because they are all wearing the same uniforms.
Uniforms help students study and do better in exams as the focus is on learning and not the clothing

Term Planners

Term Planners and the school calendar are located on Compass for families to keep up to date.

Stationery List

The charge for personal items will vary from student to student and includes:

Pupil requirements for all students and used in lessons eg: stationery items, calculator etc.
Pupil requirements recommended but not essential for all students eg: chair bag etc.

Please Note: It may be necessary to replace some items such as pencils, glue sticks etc throughout the year.
